Swarnayuga Sangeeta Darsakulu Book Launch

Famous journalist Pulagam Chinna Narayana’s book ‘Swarnayuga Sangeeta Darsakulu’ was launched at Bharatheeya Vidya Bhavan in Hyderabad. Presented by chimatamusic.com this book launch was organized by Sangham Academy. In this programme Melody King SP Balasubrahmaniam, melody queen S Janaki, classical dancer, Shobha Naidu, Palle Rama Rao, Rao Bala Saraswathi, Mandali Budda Prasad, Madhavapeddi Suresh, Chimatamusic.com, Srinivasa Rao, Pulagam Chinna Narayana, Dr C Narayana Reddy, Thanikella Bharani, Sanjay Kishore, music director KM Radha Kirshna, Gummadi Gopala Krishna, Pulagama Chinna Narayana’s father Pulagam Gandhi, director Vamsi, Janardhan Reddy, Surya, Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, Taadishetty Venkata Rao, etc.

The programme started off with the lightening of lamp by Shobha Naidu, Rao Balasaraswathi and Aakunoori Sarada. The ‘Swarnayuga Sangeeta Darsakulu’ book was launched by Dr C Narayana Reddy and the first copy of it was received by SP Balasubrahmaniam. Later SPB and S Janaki together honoured the author of the book Pulagam Chinna Narayana and publisher Chimata Srinivas Rao followed by the shawal presentation to the author by Aakella Raghavendra. The first copy of the book was purchased by Suresh Kondeti for Rs 5,116/- and the 2nd copy was bought by Surya magazine photographer. Journalist Gavara Naagu and Sakshi photographer Mallaala Sivaramakrishna also bought the books.

On this occasion a concert was held by singer Krishna in which Mitra, Vijayalakshmi, Sashikala, Srikrishna, Sarada, Ramulu and Ramana Babu rendered the old classics. Later the melody queen of south India, S Janaki felicitated the singers and the entire band that played the instruments.

Shobha Naidu while speaking, “This programme was attended by many legends. I’m very happy to note that this precious book was written by Pulagam Chinna Narayana. I appreciate the Sangham Academy for organizing this programme. Music is my passion, especially the old songs. At times I even forget to eat while listening to music. Few sentences in this book have immensely impressed me and the more I read the more I find it interesting. Chinna Narayana put in a lot of efforts to write this book. The man behind this is Chimata Srinivas garu. He has so much love for music that despite settling abroad he didn’t forget music. He is a great fan of SP Balasubrahmaniam garu. We can find the information of every music director’s working style.”

SP Balasubrahmaniam said, “The generation today is not aware of the initial music directors. Since the space on the cover page is not sufficient the photos of some of them could not be printed on the cover page. Chimata Srinivas Rao loves me so much that he wanted only me to receive the first copy even though there are many greats who deserves than me. There is a large collection of my songs in chimatamusic.com. Later I demanded them to upload the songs of other singers also. Pulagam Chinna Narayana struggled a lot to write this book. Later I troubled him for some time by keeping the book with me. He wrote the book with quite interesting elements. This is a very good book which anyone can store it in their house. This book will certainly be useful for the future generation. I’m very happy to receive the first copy of this book. The songs sung here are very soothing to ears. My special thanks to all the singers for the wonderful songs. I would also like to appreciate Sangham Academy Sanjay Kishore for organizing one such wonderful programme.”

Dr C Narayana Reddy while speaking, “I launched the book written by Pulagam Chinnaaraayana which was organized by Sanjay Kishore. One can find a lot of information in this book right from the first music director’s name. I penned lyrics for almost all music directors except one by name Subbaraman in the pictures shown in this book. This is my relationship with this book.”

Chimata Srinivasa Rao while speaking, “I’m very happy to note that people from my hometown, on behalf of my website, on behalf on Pulagam and on behalf on Sangham academy have made their presence felt. My father could not attend this function due to illness, but my mother, my aunt and uncle who raised me have come. Chimata Gandhi is my uncle. Palle Rama Rao is a big scientist. I’m very happy that he was honoured with Padmavibhushan award. I thank him for attending this function. Balu’s song is my soul and breath. I used to like him right from my childhood days. I also started liking the many music directors only through Balu. The songs in 1970s are given less priority, hence I collected those songs and published on my website. Surya Guduru garu brought many songs. We all have the same taste, hence we are maintaining this website. The efforts of many can be seen in this. The proof reading was done by Sarada and Suresh. Pulagam Chinna Narayana is a good human-being and I appreciate his work in writing this book. I’m a big fan of NTR when it comes to language. I thank my wife Madhavi for cooperating with me.”

In the end Pulagam Chinna Narayana commented by saying that this is not a golden opportunity but a diamond opportunity.
