Sri Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions 2011 Annual Day Celebrations

Today is the 59th birthday of actor, producer and former MP Dr M Mohan Babu. On this occasion the 2011 Annual Day Celebrations of Sri Vidyanikethan Educational Trust took place at Tirupathi on Friday, the 18th of March. This programme was attended by Nagarjuna, SP Balasubrahmaniam, Dr Mohan Babu, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Manchu Vishnu, Manchu Manoj, B Gopal, S Gopal Reddy, A Kodanda Ramireddy, Koti and others. The function began with the welcome speech by the principal Anuradha which followed by cultural programmes by the students of the educational trust.

Manchu Vishnu felicitated the Peddireddy Rachandra Reddy and later Peddireddy gave away the medals to the meritorious female students from various streams. The male students received the medals from Nagarjuna, Chalasani Ramesh, B Gopal, A Kodanda Ramireddy, Smt Chowdary, S Gopal Reddy, Nagur Babu, and Dr K Venkateswara Rao, etc. An industrialist Mahesh donated Rs 2 crores as funds to the library.

Addressing the gathering Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said, “The educational institutions play a crucial role in shaping the students to self-discipline. This is the 2nd time I’m coming to this function and my blessings to all the students. Mohan Babu garu established this institution here only because we cannot find this kind of atmosphere in Hyderabad. Many students from this institution are presently in various cities in India and abroad as well. Although there are many other Engineering colleges in the surrounding districts, this institution has its own value and hence the demand. I request all the students to study well and earn great respect for your parents and the get good reputation to this institution. My advanced birthday wishes to Mohan Babu garu.”

Dr Mohan Babu felicitated SP Balasubrahmaniam and that was followed by medal presentation to the students by SPB.

Later while speaking SPB said, “The association between me and Mohan Babu is very unique. I did my education in his native town and many who perceived their education there are in film industry. Hence I named him Sishupaludu which Mohan Babu enjoys it because he is one such man who is self-disciplined. According to me teaching is the noblest profession because only teachers impart a great deal of knowledge and skills to students and encourage them to become successful in their life. I’m just one year old to Mohan Babu and am giving him my blessings in life on the occasion of his birthday tomorrow. It would have been even nicer had the event been in Telugu because I love my mother-tongue and I feel a little sad when I see the neighbourhood states giving prominence to their languages. I salute Mohan Babu garu for establishing an educational institution despite have opportunities to do many other businesses. He raised much disciplined children. I like his daughter very much and also sang 4 songs in the movies she produced. I’m very happy to note that he invited Nagarjuna as the chief guest of this function because he also hails from a disciplined family. I’m very happy to meet our industry people at this venue.”

Nagarjuna said, “I thank one everyone for your love and affection. Only with the love and affection of audiences I’m looking young and energetic. How far it is justified that Vishnu and Manoj address me as uncle? In that case what shall I address Mohan Babu?” he said in a humorous way. Further speaking he said, “I felt jealous when I first saw this college. I needn’t have to praise Mohan Babu because he had done such big deeds like establishing the educational institution. We are aware of the Japan Tsunami. It happened so only because we are neglecting the nature. It’s everyone’s responsibility to protect nature and natural resources. The temperature changes on earth once in every 25 years which will leads to climatic problems. Hence we have to protect the nature for our future generations. So use your leisure time for this purpose besides enjoying college life. I too enjoyed my college days. There are many beautiful girls in this college and I’m very happy to have made my presence felt in this function today.”

Dr Mohan Babu while speaking, “My hearty thanks to Nagarjuna and SP Balasubrahmaniam for gracing this occasion. Nagarjuna earlier supported a girl for her education and now donated Rs 10 lakhs to this institute for the educational purpose of poor students.”

B Gopal, A Kodanda Ramireddy, S Gopal Reddy, Koti and others also spoke and wished Mohan Babu a Happy Birthday.
