A Slingbox makes it simple to watch and control live TV content from a cable box, satellite receiver, DVR or video camera on any remote device such as a mobile phone, PC, laptop or tablet located anywhere in the world via a broadband Internet connection.
The consumer electronics products company showcased its range of video placeshifting products, namely - Slingbox 120, Slingbox PRO-HD and SlingPlayer® that change and enhance the way consumers watch television.

How it Works
The Slingbox fits' neatly into a consumer's existing TV and network infrastructure. All that is required is a "ideo source providing TV -based entertainment - either cable, satellite TV, or a OVR <- and a home router. A broadband network or a 30 connection is required if the Slingbox is used to view the video source from outside the customer's home. The four simple steps, makes the Slingbox ready for use for a customer.
1. The TV source needs to be connected to the Slingbox
2. The Slingbox is connected to the home network router
3. The Slmgbox is then plugged into the power adapter
4. The Sling Media's software application - SlingPlayer is required to be installed for viewing on any other video device (Smart phone. Tablet, etc.)
Pricing and Availability
The manufacturer's retail price (MRP) for the basic version of Slingbox known as Slingbox 120 that streams standard-definition (SO) content is Rs.7,999 and MRP for the Slingbox PRO-HD is Rs.14,999 for a high-definition viewing experience. In addition, Sling Media is also offering SlingLink, which simplifies the home Internet network connection and provides fast, smooth video playback at an MRP of Rs. 4,999.
Consumers can watch their television content on their smart phones by downloading SlingPlayer Mobile software, giving them complete control over their living room television and is priced in various mobile application marketplaces at the equivalent of $29.99 USD.
In Hyderabad, the Slingbox will be available at Tata Croma outlets situated in Panjagutta and Jubilee Hills, and Reliance Digital outlets in Hi- Tech city, Banjara Hills, AmsriFaust and Malakpet and online store Flipkart.com across Bangalore, Mumbai,
Hyderabad and NCR. The company also has plans to further expand its operations to the cities of Ahmedabad, Pune and Chennai."
