Miss Hyderabad 2011 Auditions

With this motto as its theme the first ever "Miss Hyderabad" pageant started with great fanfare and splendor. Miss Hyderabad 2011 Presented by Kalamandir and Powered by Uninor, this event saw as many as 3000 enthusiastic registrations. This list was brought down to 300 on the basis of basic demographics.

Ms. Nikita Narayan says "It feels great to be associated with a beauty pageant because my journey into the entertainment industry began on a similar platform. Honored to be on the other side of the table. I believe that Hyderabad has great talent and such platforms facilitate the connect between the film industry which is always looking out for fresh talent and potential performers. It helps builds confidence, expands horizons and one can carry back experience and make some good friends. The response has been really good so far and as a judge. I'm looking at the right balance of confidence, charisma, poise, good communication skills and of course good looks in the participants to be able to compete for the Miss Hyderabad title".

The final set of finalists will be judged on their style & Imagination, Overall Attitude, Presence, conversational ability and Self Projection.

The first round of auditions was held in epicenter of Hyderabad's party circuit Bottles & Chimney. The auditions saw a healthy participation with 269 of the 300 shortlisted candidates turning up at this landmark venue.

The auditions were judged by eminent personalities from the fashion & entertainment industry. The panel consisted of Mr. Madhura Sreedhar Reddy, Ms. Nikitha Narayan, Ms. Renu Sukheja, Mr. Sasikanth Naidu , Mr. Sarath Shetty & Mrs. Shrawani Bose. They had their job cut out in short listing for the final round of auditions. The contestants were being judged on first impression, grooming, communication skills confidence & overall attractiveness.

Mr. Srinivas Gunishetty, founder & CEO of Page3 Entertainments said "As a brand ambassador for Hyderabad, we are not only focusing on a fresh & pretty face but also a girl with substance".

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sashikant Naidu, Fashion Designer said "Am amazed at the kind of the response we've got for Miss Hyderabad 2011.The number of enthusiastic girls wanting to win the title whether externally beautiful or not or so intelligent, confident and brave, they sure will go a long way in their lives. It would be a tough job trying to choose that one girl with the right balance of beauty, intelligence, attitude and persona to carry the title”.

By keeping up the standard Miss Hyderabad can become a title to reckon with in the future.
