Akritti Fashion Mantra

AKRITTI, a well-known women's organization in the city has organized FASHION MANTRAS, an exhibition and sale at Taj Krishna for two days to showcase the variety and richness of several craftsmen, designers and creators. Varieties of designer sarees, dress materials, kurtis, Pakistani suits, Fashion jewelry, Real jewelry, Accessories, Daily care, Home decor, designer bags, foot wear, etc. are available for the city to indulge in-just in time for the eid festivities. Renowned creators and designers from Bangalore, Jaipur, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and other parts of the country are participating in the show with attractive products appealing to the ever changing tastes and panache of women.

Fashion mantras was inaugurated by Ms. Shilpa Reddy, former winner of Gladrags Mrs. India, and a fashion designer who recently launched her label in Hyderabad and Ms. Reet Sahu, crowned 1st Runners Up — Mrs. India International and also won titles- Mrs. Hyderabad International and best ramp walk, at Atlanta Georgia USA in May 2012, also a model, grooming expert and social activist. The guest of honor was Ms. Bina Mehta, socialite, who also sponsored the prizes for Style-off, a mannequin dressing contest.

Whilst the established designers will portray their collection, Fashion mantras is also giving upcoming designers and design students an opportunity to display their immense talent. A unique mannequin dressing contest, Style-off a mannequin dressing contest has been organized where these young designers have put their best styling foot forward and stylized & accessorized mannequins. Visitors to the exhibition can also vote for their favorite mannequin and encourage the students.

The exhibition has been planned as part of charity initiative, the proceedings of which will go towards “Educate the Girl Child’ campaign of FICCI-FLO which has been sponsored by Mr. Alok Nahata. Many celebrities, socialites, designers and organizers are expected to grace the event.

Akritti is a brainchild of Ms. Sashi Nahata who has been successful in organizing such exhibitions and events across the country with an objective of promoting arts, culture and also to benefit customers. The forte of Fashion :mantras: is that each exhibitor is handpicked based on their high quality and unique product, but at a reasonable price competitive to the regular market price of similar but not so unique products; thus busting the popular misconception of exhibitions at 5 star hotels being expensive.

Chhutis from Kolkata is here to rock at the show with its naturally dyed fabrics in vibrant colors and eye appealing shades, all designed with creativity and creating a style statement- since their USP is that each garment is made in a single piece.

Famous designers like Mintu and Breeze Sarna, Styles n Beyond, Afshah Khan, Namrata Shah, Shibori with designer blouses from Ahmedabad, Mamta Udupa , Awesomest, Desire, Vima's, Sanskruti, Jinis, and more than 60 other famous designer stalls at the exhibition the show is all set to be the talk of the town.

Another glittering jewel to Fashion mantras:' crown is the Dreamz Diamond Jewellery store who will showcase an amazing range of diamond Jewellery. Each piece uniquely designed and crafted to perfection just like the diamonds that bear the exclusive heart and arrow cut.
The Director of Akritti is Ms. Sashi Nahata and the event co-ordinators are Nitu Agarwal, Sheetal Raipure, Aruna Jaju and Lata Biyani.
