Shilpa Reddy launches KiDiHOU Children Museum, Hyderabad

Hyderabad: February, 2013: KiDiHOU a unique, first-of-its-kind community space dedicated to inspire and engage children 1-8 years focused on early childhood learning in the creative arts, sciences and early literacy is launching its first museum in Hyderabad. Mr. Nadendla Manohar, Hon. Speaker of the Assembly and Mrs. Shilpa Reddy, former Mrs. India would be launching the Museum on the 19th February, 2013 at 5.00pm. Several celebrity parents, educationalists, child psychologists and children would be joining us on this occasion. Today, children are increasingly growing up in a box. Their activities are limited to school where formal education is the key focus. Unlike merely 20 years ago, we are now constrained for space in our homes, public parks are either non-existent or disappearing, streets are unsafe for kids to play and hence they are increasing glued to TV or gadgets like the tablets and smart phones from a very young age. Consequentially, they are being deprived of overall development, which form the foundation of what they become in future.

KiDiHOU is about learning through play — where children can discover at their own pace and focus on areas of interest to them, in an environment where they feel happy and safe under the care of their parents, company of other kids in their community and guidance of experienced KiDiHOU Playologists. We offer these play experiences through unique museum's exhibits and programs designed to spark children's imagination and help them discover who they are, how the world works, solve problems and express themselves.

The museum exhibits include Ball-a-coaster, Do-It-Yourself Room, Hard Hat Construction Zone, My-derabad, Picasso's Hideout, Busy-Bee Mart, Dr. Pet, iRun Chef and many more. Every exhibit has been carefully designed to stimulate curiosity, motivate learning and development of one or more abilities such as of Cognitive skills, Motor skills, Social Skills, Language Skills, etc. Here children can experiment, draw, role-play, build, create from a wide variety of materials and replicate what they see every day or create some thing absolutely new based on a figment of their imagination. The museum provides a sate environment for kids to express their feelings, explore new dimensions and acting out their desires.


OVIM the coming months, the team is committed to ensuring the experience kids have is always new and fresh. The museum will add exhibits; organize new camps, workshops, early childhood classes and identify new opportunities to work with the community, schools and corporate houses.
In the next 5 years, KiDiHOU plans to establish a network of loo museums across India, with multiple facilities in larger cities. The goal is to convert every KiDiHOU into one of the top family and tourist destinations in every community, city we are present in.

Continue straight till you see the Vasantha valley arch. Continue on the road to your right. The road curves to the left and then curves to the right. At the next bend you will see Kidihou (on top of Medplus pharmacy).
