Mr. Prasad was launching the book, authored by Mr. Joshi and published by Nichrome Foundation in association with Ameya Inspiring Books, at an event held at 'Crossword' here. The function was moderated by senior journalist Sekhar Seshan, who has edited the book on Mr. Joshi's trials and successes in creating Nichrome, a leading packaging machinery manufacturer and the pioneer in form-fill seal machines in India.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Joshi said, "This book is not only my life journey but moreover it is an overview of all those known and unknown faces who have put their relentless efforts into building Nichrome and taking it forward on the global map. I have thus dedicated this book to all 'Nichromians' who walked the 'Yatra' along with me throughout, especially in those difficult days. To me this book is not only a 'bird's eye view' but I have tried to pay a small token of my gratitude to all those standing robustly behind me and Nichrome right from its beginning."

Synopsis of the book: 'My Corporate Yatra' is the story of an entrepreneur who built a world-class brand in packaging, after reading a small newspaper item. A science graduate accidentally landed in a small scale engineering workshop making metal steel windows and shutters. A few years later, he changed th- face of the business and emerged as a manufacturer of packaging equipments, installing machines in more than 35 countries for various food products. Pioneered the first indigenous vertical form-fill-seal machine in India way back in 1977 Nichrome today, have developed a wide range of high-speed Excel and Sprint, small sachet Stick-pack, and fast and flexible Filpack machines and is poised to become a global company offering end-to-end packaging solutions.
