We are experiencing an ever increasing incidence and awareness of DIGESTIVE DISEASES, which include Gastrointestinal (GI), Liver, Pancreatic and Biliary Disorders. The reasons for this increase in the general population include Genetic, Immunological, Environmental, Psychological and Lifestyle Factors.
SANDOZI HEALTH AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION (SHEF) was established in memory of (Late) Dr Moinuddin Khan Sandozi, Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology, Gandhi and Osmania Medical Colleges, Hyderabad. Memorial Afsar Naseem Khatoon Institute of Digestive Diseases (MANKInDD), a unit of SHEF, is being established as an institute that caters to the needs of patients with digestive diseases.

The Mission of MANKInDD is to provide State of the Art Specialized Care in Digestive Diseases with a focused, yet a holistic and comprehensive approach, as part of improving overall health in a cost effective way.

The Objectives of MANKInDD are:
1. To establish MANKInDD as a Center of Excellence for all aspects of Digestive Diseases.
2. To promote and develop MANKInDD to provide the highest level of specialty care in all aspects of the diseases of the GI tract, to provide early detection, treatment, management and counseling of GI malignancies.
3. To promote the institute as an avenue for global exchange of information, skills and knowledge among physicians and allied health care providers from India and across the world in the field of Digestive Diseases.
