"My work begins with origami and ends with an unerring balance of geometry, color and illusion. I tend to start with the architectural and geometric figure of the origami crane and increase or decrease its size on the canvas, depending on the idea that is put forward. Most often, the composition doesn't play with the theme of emotion. Instead, it provides room for a rational explanation that formulates its own logic. However, as you look closer, this seems to fall apart as the forms start to look as though their logic makes no sense."

Artist profile- Moksha Kumar
As a graduate of Pratt Institute, Moksha has done many works of art to satiate her curiosity for the creative. She began studying art at the young age of three, and continued to imbibe her passion throughout her childhood and her life. During her time in Pratt, she travelled to Venice for an assistantship under the guidance of artist Chris Wright, for the Pratt in Venice program. She has also painted a baby grand piano for the Sing for Hope Piano project, which is now displayed in New York at Roosevelt Island. From set design to metal welding and jewelry making, she has incorporated many skills to become the artist that she is today.
