Singhanias Store - A Showcase by Celebrity Saree Draper Dolly Jain

Celebrity Saree Draper Dolly Jain is visiting Hyderabad based store Singhanias for a draping workshop where she will showcase 150 styles and ways of draping a Saree.

The whole 6 yards were never so fascinating. Meet Dolly Jain who has her calendar chock a block with a rather off beat profession. She is a professional Saree draper. From Kokilaben Ambai, Neeta and Tina Ambani, to Mrs Rahul Bajaj to Mittals to Jindals, to The GVK Reddy Family to the Appollo Group to our Bollywood divas from Sridevi to Katrina to Malaika to Sonam Kapoor to Raveena to Soha, the list is just endless. Dolly Jain's magical touch has helped women look their best in a Saree.

"What is more fascinating about this beautiful drape is the fact that it can let one choose how they want to look in it. You can wear it in a simple classy manner, a sexy look or something between the two, you decide how much you want to reveal and the drape will do its magic on you", smiles Jain.

She goes all out to make sure the young women who come to her or who she goes to get a sure shot hooked feeling to sarees. For younger women, for example she more often then not, gives them the drape over churidars or even jeans !
And if that doesn’t sound exciting enough, this Limca and India Book record holder who tied a saree in 18.5 seconds in 2008 knows 325 styles of draping.

Jain keeps a mannequine in her room at home. " I have ideal going through my head all the time and I don't want any to go waste. So I try my hands on it even i wee hours".

Little surprise right from including the dupattas to give sarees a lehenga type look to marrying a Bengali and Maharashtrian style of wearing a saree, she has done it all. In fact she has travelled to interiors of many states to learn the art of sari tying in that region and then interpreted it in her own style; the reult is brand new look,something she says most women like. "From a small little village in Rajasthan to Orissa to Kerela to Bhopal, I have looked for inspiration everywhere "she says

She has a team of 55 trained women. But yes one thing Jain knows is that once she has draped a saree for someone, they usually fall in love with the drape if they aren't already.
