Prelude of INFINITY RIDE, 2016

Starting from Gachibowli Stadium to World One School, Vignan Group of Institutions, Kondapur.

Hyderabad, March 13, 2016: Aditya Mehta Foundation brings you the Prelude of INFINITY RIDE – Manali to KhardungLa – August 1st to 15th. The founder, Aditya Mehta, a Double Silver medallist at Para Asian Championship, himself is an avid para-athlete with several achievements to his credit. He has earned 5 Limca Book of records till date. This ride is supported by SATS (Sports Authority of Telangana), Vignan, CRPF, Wingo Travellers, Zealeo, BIG 92.7FM, Vajra Events, Continental Hospitals, Vishnu Education, Filmy Corp, Inorbit and Macro Media. AMF is also grateful to its trustee Ms. Regina Cassandra for their kind support to make this event take place.

Prelude Ride: Prelude of Infinity Ride, 2016 is a promotional ride to spread awareness about the INFINITY RIDE – Manali to KhardungLa – August 1st to 15th . INFINITY RIDE is a concept initiated by AMF to help all disabled people with artificial limbs and other supporting equipment, who want to take up sports and lead life in a dignified manner. A supporting hand for those who want to bring pride to India through sports. AMF is successfully undertaking such rides since the past three years and has helped many disabled people so far. But the number of these needed people is much higher than the people, AMF could actually help till date and that is the reason all the Tollywood stars including Rana Daggubati, Regina Cassandra, Shriya Saran, Sanjjana, and many more are joining hands to speak about this Noble cause so that more funds could be gathered through this Prelude Ride and more of such people can be reached and helped.

The ride will start from Gachibowli Stadium and will end at Vignan World One School, Vignan Group of Institutions, Kondapur. The complete ride will be of around 10 kilometres. The USP of the event is a complete Weapon Display conducted by CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) . Many CRPF officers will also ride along to show solidarity. AMF also plans to come up with an interesting concept of a bi-cycle race among the celebrities with a co-rider; this will add a lot of fun to the event and a chance for other riders to enjoy along. The celebrities will be requested to ride old Atlas style bicycles with carriers at the back. It’s basically a double-ride concept with a partner. Where every male will be accompanied by a female partner, and both of them will be required to change places/seats after a certain distance.

About Aditya Mehta Foundation: Aditya Mehta Foundation (AMF) is a non-profit organisation which aids people with disabilities to pursue sports while providing self-sustenance. India has almost 22.4% of people who are disabled in different forms including blindness, speech, hearing, movement and mental. AMF aims to help them reach their potential in their chosen field of sports and help them have a self-sustaining life. AMF was formalised only in 2013. And within a short span of time, the foundation helped 21 para-athletes with 25 with different things like artificial limbs and other supporting equipment. Requests for help have been pioneering in from all over India to AMF and to help them AMF is still struggling to make ends meet. While keeping the overheads to the minimum, the foundation started to raise funds by involving people in sports activities.

AMF looks toward a bright future with both Telangana and AP Government supporting the organisation. Aditya Mehta has till date cycled around 57,000 kilometres. Some of the most famous rides he did till date are Manali to Khardungla, Kashmir to Kanyakumari, flagged-off by Shri. P. S. Sandhu, I. G., BSF, Srinagar, Delhi to Mumbai, flagged-off by Shri Krishan Pal Gujjar, MOS, Social Justice and Empowerment, and Infinity Ride - Bangalore to Hyderabad, 2015.

Aditya Mehta Foundation has also joined hands with BSF (Border Security Force) and CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) to help their disabled employees and soldiers who lost limbs on duty. AMF will provide them with all the required training, counselling and will also provide them high-end artificial limbs and all sort of desired equipment. The main focus of this particular initiative is to encourage these amputees to take up sports and live life with pride.
