FICCI 14 Stars of Women in Transport

On May 25th FLO Hyderabad announced Skill Development Initiative “Women in Transport” for Empowering Women in association with Govt of Telangana and Maruti Suzuki Driving School

This national initiative of FICCI FLO will train 1500 women across the country, if there is more demand, more will be trained in driving, communication, etiquette.

We are happy to inform that we have interviewed more than 150 women, out of which 70 women were shortlisted, 20 completed the CSR driving course, 14 of them have moved to the last phase of employability training which is called Unnathi Program.
It has been a very interesting and tedious journey of creating these 14 stars, who will create a milestone in Hyderabad driving history by being employed by the end of April in various academic and small scale enterprises.

We are happy that FLO Skill development wing headed by Ms. Sangeetha Kosuru under the mentorship of our FICCI FLO Chairperson Ms. Rekha Lahoti, along with the committed FLO team ( Suree Gandhi, Sarla Bhutoria, Sulekha Gupta, Anita Goyal, Sunitha Yellapanthula and Jayashree Sanghani) and Maruthi CSR Team headed by Mr. Ashwin Mathur, Mr. Ajaml Hussian and Mr. Kanta Rao and Maruthi Coordinators Mr. Mahesh has worked with lot of commitment to make the vision into a reality today. Without them this wouldn’t be possible.

We will start another 2 batches with 25 women starting in the next 2 weeks in Unnathi program.
