Uttarandhra region along with Vizag has been devastated by the recent Hudhud cyclone. This catastrophe has obliterated lives, homes and huge property in Uttarandhra region. We all know that Telugu film industry will always been in the forefront when it comes to provide their help to restore the damage. Our Tollywood celebrities have come forward to do their bit for Uttarandhra region. Many prominent people in the Telugu film industry have not stopped their work just by donating huge amounts to the people whose lives have been devastated due to the disaster, they are conducting a program named ‘Nenu Saitham’ in which anyone can participate. Organizers arranged a press meet on Wednesday to brief about the event which will be held on 30th of November.
Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Paruchuri Brothers, Jeevitha Rajashekar, Ashok Kumar, Srinivas Raju, Veera Shankar, Maddineni Ramesh, ML Kumar Choudary, Damodar Prasad, K Raghavendra Rao, Nandini Reddy, KL Narayana, Murali Mohan, Sivakumar, Uttej and Khyum and some others have attended the press meet.
Speaking at the press meet, Chiranjeevi said, “We all know that Uttarandhra region along with Vizag has been devastated on 12th of October by the recent Hudhud cyclone. Beautiful Visakhapatnam became unlovely. This calamity caused huge damage to the life and property and it is irreparable. According to the government estimation, 70,000 crores of property loss occurred and 64 members lost their life. Our Tollywood celebrities and some celebrities from Tamil film industry have come forward to do their bit. Not just that, Telugu film industry is going to organize a program named ‘Memu Saitham’ to help the people who are affected by cyclone. It’s an innovative program which will be held on 30th of November starting from morning 10 o’clock and continues till 10pm. The program will have all types of game shows, talk shows and finally anthyakshari.”
On this occasion, Nagarjuna said, “We will have a ‘Dine with Stars’ program in ‘Memu Saitham’ event. Wife and Husband or friends or any other family members can participate in this program which will be held on 29th night of November between 7:30 to 10:30. You will get a chance to have dinner with heroes, heroines or prominent people who belongs to film industry. The cost of the ticket is Rs. 1 Lakh. I would like to say thanks to Allu Aravind, Ashok Kumar and Srinivasa Raju for buying the tickets.”
Addressing the gathering, Venkatesh said, “We will have a ‘Cricket with Stars’ program in this event. This will be held on November 30th between 3pm to 6pm at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy ground. Young artists like Ram Charan, Anushka, Charmi, Akhil, Rakhul Preet Singh and Nickel and some others are going to participate in the program. The match will have 6 overs and the cost of the ticket will be 3000.”
Addressing the people, D Suresh Babu said, “The cost of the ticket for Mega Draw event will starts from Rs. 500. Lucky draw will be made for the ticket buyers and 104 members will be selected and they will participate in the programs. And special draw will be made for those 104 members and gifs will be given to the winners. The value of the gifts will be around Rs. 50 Lakhs. You can collect the tickets for any theater. Donors from abroad or from other states can donate the funds through our website www.memusaitham.com. Meanwhile, ‘Thambola with Stars’ program will also be conducted. Ticket cost will be Rs. 15000. The first winner will get Mercedes Benz car as gift. Each and every rupee that will get through these events will be added to the Andhra Pradesh CM’s relief fund. Speaking at the meet, Murali Mohan said, “At first we have planned to conduct these charity shows in big cities like Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. But, it is good that everyone can watch it on the same stage. It’s a different program in India till now. Everyone should participate in this program.”
