O Maramanishi Music: A.R. Rahman Lyrics: Suddala Ashok Teja Singer: S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, D. Srinivas, Khatija Rahman
Ha ha! As expected the album started off with some great acoustic music. In today’s world of music, beats have become more prevalent than vocals and lyrics due to its advanced technology. In this line the drum beats with new arrangement of urban music production by AR Rahman, sparkles the rhythmic foundation of a song. The song ‘O Maramanishi…’ describes the salient features of ‘Robo’ and tells how a scientist invites ‘Robo’ to enter into his body. The song is interesting and has created a kind of eagerness in me to watch the film instantly. Suddala Ashok Teja’s lyrics will stick in listeners’ heads. AR Rahman introduces his elder daughter Khatija Rahman as playback singer through this first track in ‘Robo’ film. Though Khatija sang just one line, her voice is very sweet and she sang it with great confidence. She in fact is lucky to sing her first song with a legendary singer like S P Balasubrahmaniam. Overall, a brilliant start with outstanding quality beats for our superstar Rajnikanth.
Inumulo O Hridayam Music: A.R. Rahman Lyrics: Suddala Ashok Teja, Kash N Krissy Singer: A.R. Rahman, Suzanne, Kash N Krissy
Wow! This song is a real fun to listen to. I think, currently in India AR Rahman is the only music composer who has the potential to executive the beats so well. With mind boggling tempos, this track is just awesome and pretty much flawless. Rahman has once again showed his powerful vocals. The lines in English penned by Kash N Krissy are just cool. She has also rendered her own voice for those lines. Suzanne too was good enough on her part. Yes! We might have heard of many western pops in this style, but this is first of its kind in Indian cinema music. It’s quite different and stands on its own merit.
Harima Harima Music: A.R. Rahman Lyrics: Vanamali Singer: Hariharan, Sadhana Sargam
‘Harima Harima’ is a heavy beat song sung by Hariharan and Sadhana Sargam. No doubt it has a classic sound that gets more powerful as the song continues. But according to me, one will enjoy this song along with eye catching visuals only rather than just listening to the audio track.
Kilimanjaro Music: A.R. Rahman Lyrics: Bhuvanachandra Singer: Javed Ali, Chinmayi
Wow! This track is amazing and makes me wanna dance. ‘Kilimanjaro….’ is one of my favourite songs in this album. The song is terrific with superb beats. I simply love the rhythm, beats and of course vocals, Bhuvanachandra’s lyrics are pleasing too. AR Rahman, keep on making good music. You are ‘The Best’.
Boom Boom Robo Ra Music: A.R. Rahman Lyrics: Bhuvanachandra Singer: B. Yogi, Kirthi Sagathia, Swetha Mohan, Tanvi Shah
Here is yet another track with funky lyrics on ‘Robo’. The track starts of with words like Boom Boom Robo Ra…’. The lyrics of this track were once again penned with creative words by Bhuvanachandra. AR Rahman knows how to make an entertaining track with the lyrical as well as the vocal style. Yes! He only knows to create a unique taste amongst music lovers, right! Overall it’s coooooooooooool, it’s weird but it’s interesting. Enjoyyyyyyyyy!!!
Neelo Valapu Music: A.R. Rahman Lyrics: Vanamali Singer: Vijay Prakash, Shreya Goshal
This track starts out slow with a beautiful guitar melody, before picking up speed and going crazy in the powerful vocals of Vijay Prakash and Shreya Goshal. The vocals really do lift the song. One can imagine the visuals involving Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai while this track plays. No doubt, AR Rahman brought a unique style of music in Indian Cinema. Lyrics by Vanamali are good but surely not a heart touching one. But I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic number only for Rahman’s tune.
Chitti Dance Showcase Music: A.R. Rahman Lyrics: Singer: Pradeep Vijay, Pravin Mani, B. Yogi
This appears to be a theme song. The entire track goes with heavy but awesome drum beats without any lyrics. The music is terrific and sure to appeal stupendous with mind blowing visuals on big screen. The track is a mixture of western and Indian music. Fantastic!
