Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja was labeled as a minimum guarantee hero for his highly energetic slapstick humor. The secret behind his success
is that he thoroughly knows how to engage audience’s attention. His last hit movie was ‘Mirapakaay, which released during 2011 Sankranti and the actor is hungry to deliver yet another super hit since ‘Daruvu’ was declared as above average and ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ was a box-office debacle.
‘Sarocharu’ is yet another romantic comedy with enough action elements in lines with Ravi Teja’s earlier films. Parasuram directed the film with Kajal and Richa Gangopadhyay as leading ladies opposite Ravi Teja. Interestingly, Nara Rohith played a key role in it. Other prominent star cast is Jayasudha, Chandra Mohan, Ravi Prakash, M S Narayana, Srinivasa Reddy, Kalpitha, etc.
Ravi Teja will be seen as a football coach in this film and he will be called with his original name in this film. Kajal is the main heroine and Richa is the second heroine. The trailers indicate that Kajal will appear in a sweet and bubbly role as usual. Her name in this film is Sandhya. This would be her second straight Telugu film in this year after the blockbuster ‘Businessman’ which released in the year beginning. Kajal and Richa have worked with mass maharaja earlier – Kajal in ‘Veera’ and Richa in ‘Mirapakay’. Richa is playing a bubbly role in this film. She will be called as Vasudha in the film.
When it comes to technicians, let’s start off with the captain of the ship. ‘Sarocharu’ is the second film in the combination of Ravi Teja and director Parasuram. The duo earlier did ‘Anjaneyulu’, but it did not fare well at the box-office. However the director has two other films to his credit – ‘Yuvatha’ and ‘Solo’ (both youthful entertainers). Devisri Prasad needs no introduction. His music has already hit the charbusters. Two out of five songs are receiving wide response. They are ‘Racha Rambola…’ (written by Srimani) and ‘Made of each other…’ (written by Ramajogayya Sastry). ‘Sarocharu’ is DSP’s 51st film. While Ramajogayya Sastry penned lyrics for two songs, Anantha Sriram, Chandra Bose and Srimani wrote one each. Vijay K Chakravathy cranked the camera. Trailers appear rich. The cinematographer’s work was well appreciated in all his earlier films like ‘Bommarillu’, ‘Parugu’, ‘Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam’, ‘Oy’, ‘Mr Perfect’ and ‘Oh My Friend’. Few other top technicians who worked for this film are fight masters Ram-Lakshman, art director Sahi Suresh, dance choreographers Raju Sundaram, Dinesh & Lalitha and editor Koratala Venkateswara Rao.
Ashwini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies is known for its rich production values. Following the footsteps of her father, Priyanka Dutt made this film in a big span with rich production values under her banner Three Angels Studio Pvt Ltd. The makers have shot the film in Hyderabad, Ooty and parts of Europe. V Mohan Rao is the production controller. Kiran and Nujji were the co-directors. One of the leading distributors BlueSky bagged the overseas rights.
Going by the above information, let’s hope that the film was made with right combination of all commercial elements. So we will just have to wait and see what this film has in store for the audience. The movie is releasing worldwide on December 21st, 2012.
