Vijayashanti was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu state , India, on 24th June 1966.i She is an Indian Film Actress, Film Producer & Politician who renowned in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Bollywood movies for her work.
Personal Life:
Vijayashanti finished her schooling at Chennai’s renowned Holly Angeles High School. She got associated with the film industry soon after she completed her schooling. She got married to M. V. Srinivas Prasad.
Career:
In the year 1980, she did her acting debut with Tamil movie Kallukkul Eeram. Soon after her Tamil language film debut, she made her Telugu film debut with the film titled Khiladi Krishnudu.
She gained fame after performing in the 1983 Telugu film Neti Bharatam. She became the most glamorous actress in Telugu film industry in a couple of years.
Her success in movies like Gang Leader, Muddula Mavayya, Pasivadi Pranam, Yamudiki Mogudu and Rudranetra and many others ruled the 1980s. She was among the most popular and attractive personalities of the 1980s.
She has worked with almost every top actor and noted Telugu cinema actors. With Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi she made as many as 16 to 19 films respectively.
In the year 1990, she was one of the industry's highest paid actresses demanding as much as 10million rupees per movie. She eventually earned her first National Film Award for her role in the Telugu movie Karthavyam in 1990, after receiving the Nandi Award twice. The film has also been dubbed in the Tamil and Hindi language films. Her performance is considered the best performance of her illustrious acting career in this film. During this film she was granted the nickname "Lady Amitabh."
She made her political foray in 1997 by joining the Bhartiya Janta Party, a national political party. She launched her own political front called Talli Telangana in 2009.
She declared in 2016 that she will make her comeback to the silver screen once she selects an acceptable story.
Finally, She agreed to made her appearance in Sarileru Nekevvaru after long time with Mahesh Babu, the movie was a blockbuster hit at the box office.
