Surbhi Puranik was born in Delhi, India, on 7th December 1993. She is an Indian film actress, famous for her film work in Tamil & Telugu.

Surbhi Puranik graduated from the Delhi College of Arts with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. She was inclined to make her career as an actress in the glamorous world. She enrolled in Imago Acting School to follow her ambitions and taught acting by Manoj Bajpai and Barry John.
Career:
Finally, through the M.Saravanan vigilante film Ivan Veramathiri as Malini, she made her performing debut on the female lead opposite Vikram Prabhu. In 2013, overnight, she became the celebrity by impressing Tamil viewers with her role in this picture, and the public and the film critics gave her good reviews.
This newcomer earned both the Vijay Awards for Best Debut Actress and the SIIMA award for Best Female Debutant for this feature. In the same year after enjoying the film Ivan Veramathiri’s success she signed the other Tamil language comedy-drama film Velaiyilla Pattathari which was written as well as directed by the Velraj and superstar Rajnikant's son-in - law Dhanush produced the film starring Dhanush and Amala Paul were at the film's lead.
Since she was so smart to sign the films from day one, and in 2015, Surbhi Puranik made her debut in Tollywood through the Kanmani that she wrote and even directed Beeruva Telugu film as Swathi opposite Sundeep Kishan.
This was her first-ever successful career at the box office and was commercially hit by film. Though this film was also dubbed with the title Mera Faisla in the Hindi language.
She signed in 2016 the directing political thriller film Attack starring opposite Manchu Manoj by the Bollywood ace director and filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma, and other supporting star cast was Jagapati Babu and Prakash Raj.
In 2016, Nani and Nivetha Thomas appeared in the romantic crime suspense film Gentleman. This film declared as the super-duper hit film with the gross earnings of 32 crores at the box office.
In the Telugu cinema, it became one of the gross earners of the year. She was recently seen in Adangathey, a Telugu film, and will be seen next in Bhimavaram, a Telugu film. In 2017 she acted in okka kshanam along with Allu Sirish.
