Early Life:
On 29 May 1980 Usha was born. Her professional name is Singer Usha. She is recognized as Singer Usha, for the music industry. She was granted the name Singer as she is a really successful Telugu Film Industry playback singer.
Career:
For over 10 years she has been connected with the singing of playback. She also collaborated with some of the South's well established Music Directors and created some great songs. She is a very well known South Film industry playback singer.
She was born and Raised in Nagarjuna Sagar , Andhra Pradesh , India. Eenadu Television was the host of a weekly music series entitled Paadutha Teeyaga. Usha was part of this series. This was the first ever tv series she had taken part in. The Singer Balasubramanium presented the series. She arrived in the show first and then opportunities started to knock at her entrance.
She participated again after winning this show and won a musical show called Navaragam which was shown on Gemini TV. Between 1996 & 2000 she took part in numerous TV shows, all related to music. Most of them she performed, and won.
She was widely appreciated for her expertise and abilities. Throughout Hindi channels including Zee TV, she even appeared in several National Music Reality Shows and she also entered the finals of those shows.
The film Illalu, which was a Telugu film, was Usha's first movie as a playback singer. This film had V. Srinivas as the music director. He was a music director with considerable acclaim.
She rendered her name in singing Telugu playback in the year 2000 when she gave back all year round hits to back. She has sung in very popular Telugu movies like Indra, starring Chiranjeevi, Chirutha, starring the son of Chiranjeevi, Porudu, Varsham and many more. We can't list all the movies she's been singing in, as they number in hundreds.
Usha has already appeared in more than one hundred and fifty stage plays, aside from playing playback music. She has held solo concerts throughout the country, as well as artists such as Balasubramanium, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan and many more.
Over the course of her career she has acquire several awards. During her ten-year career, she has won the award of Best Playback Singer three times. She has received about twenty awards, with many more to come. She is a really talented singer and is only forty years old; she has the ability to rule the music industry in Telugu.
