Many would be surprised to know that Kollywood’s top star fondly called as Thala is from Hyderabad. Yes! We are talking about ultimate star Ajith. You would be surprised to know that Ajith was born in Secunderabad and started his life as a simple two-wheeler mechanic. The star who has given so many hits in Tamil and has been seen in AP in dubbed forms started his career in Telugu.
It was the school final that he completed and after that he did not see the steps of college, instead joined as a scooter mechanic. The heroism in him did not die and that took him to the racing track where he was a race car driver. His good looks fetched him some ad contracts which ignited his interests in acting. And it was a dream come true when he received a call from Lakshmi Productions banner for their ‘Prema Pustakam’. The makers also changed his name as Srikar which was finally seen only in that film, which was also his only straight film in Telugu.. Later he was idenfied by Kollywood and his journey continued with his original name Ajith. And he is now in such an eviable position with Shalini by his side that the Tamil movie industry is very proud off. Incidentally Tollywood is enjoying his recent hit film ‘David Billa’.
