Veteran filmmaker K Raghava, the man who had seen 100 years of Indian cinema, breathed his last on Tuesday in the early hours due to heart stroke. He was 105. K Raghava, the owner of Pratap Arts Productions, had produced over 30 films in which 25 turned out to be blockbusters.
This Sr. producer had started off his filmi career even before the first Telugu cinema was made in 1931 as a trolley puller. He introduced late sri Dasari Narayana Rao garu, suman and many other talented artists and technicians to the film industry. He made many super hit films include ‘Thatha Manvadu’, ‘Jagatkanthreelu’, ‘Thurpu Padamara’, ‘Samsaram Sagaram’, ‘Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya’, ‘Anthuleni Katha’, ‘Surya Chandrulu’, ‘Ee Prashnaku Baduledi’, ‘Yuga Karthalu’ and ‘Narada Vinodam’ and to name a few. He was conferred with prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award.
