Tharun Bhascker of 'Pelli Choopulu' fame is currently directing a crime comedy titled 'Keedaa Cola'. The film doesn't have a hero and a heroine. Given the genre, the 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' director seems to be using his creative freedom to defy conventions.
The story of the film revolves around eight characters, one of which is played by the legendary comedian Brahmanandam. His First Look, in which he wears a mildly befuddled expression, was unveiled today.
Sharing the poster, the filmmaker wrote that Brahmi is the original meme God. He will be playing a grandpa named Varadha Raju, someone who is wheelchair-bound.
"Watch him in a new avatar, playing a relatable character from your home - Thatha. VaradhaRaju is the mean old grandpa who you will have a love-hate relationship with. Stuck to his wheelchair with a disposable urine attachment, the man’s only superpower is sarcasm," Bhascker wrote, giving a taste of the character. For a change, the comedian will be seen delivering a "subtle" performance.
This 2023 release is produced by VG Sainma. Edited by Upendra Varma and shot by cinematographer AJ Aaron, the film has art direction by Ashish Teja Pulala.
