Vijay Sethupathi withdrew from interviews for THIS reason

Actor Vijay Sethupathi was in Hyderabad on Sunday to promote his upcoming movie, 'Vidudala Part 2'. Ahead of the release of the Telugu-dubbed Tamil movie on December 20, the versatile actor set out to give a series of exclusive interviews. However, he cancelled all the subsequent interviews after being asked an unenviable question.

The actor, known for 'Uppena' and 'Vikram', was asked about the possible fate of his upcoming release in Telugu in the wake of Suriya's 'Kanguva' and Vijay's 'The Greatest of All Time' bombing in the Telugu States this year.

Vijay Sethupathi was understandably taken aback by the question. It was as if the interviewer was writing off 'Vidudala Part 2' even before it was out. Of course, the film might flop, given that it is a serious Vetri Maaran movie with a socio-political subtext. But doing a frank box-office analysis in a column and writing off a film in an interview with the film's hero are different things.

Vijay Sethupathi had a bad experience this time. Since he is a big name in Kollywood, the incident must have become an escalation in the Tamil film industry.
