Christopher Nolan’s next film is titled ‘The Odyssey’. A mythic action epic to be shot across different countries and regions around the globe, the film opens in theaters on July 17, 2026.
The news is that Nolan has finalized the casting. Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal and Benny Safdie are the first set of actors enlisted to act in the movie. Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin and Samantha Morton have also joined the supporting cast.
Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem The Odyssey is the inspiration behind 'The Odyssey'. "Described as a mythic action epic that follows the tale of Odysseus and his 10-year journey home after the Trojan War," a report says. Universal Studios, which produced Nolan's previous outing Oppenheimer, is back. "Unlike Oppenheimer, which Universal acquired through an open auction, Nolan's upcoming project has been secured directly by the studio," reports have said.
