It is well-known that Nandamuri Balakrishna and Naga Babu have never had good equations. The brother of Chiranjeevi has previously hit out at Balayya repeatedly. In 2018, he stated that he doesn't know who Balakrishna is. When his remark courted controversy, he doubled down, joking that he knows Balakrishna is a good comedian who shared screen space with NT Rama Rao. Naga Babu immediately quipped that he was talking about an old-timer named Valluri Balakrishna. In 2020, when Balakrishna commented that Telugu film celebrities who had met a Telangana government delegation were there to distribute lands among themselves, Naga Babu came out with sharp criticism, demanding that Balayya apologize immediately for dragging Chiranjeevi's name.
In the latest Unstoppable episode (on Aha), when Ram Charan said that his grandfather used to scold Naga Babu the most, Balakrishna quipped, "Your grandfather used to do the right thing." The Daaku Maharaaj actor's reaction was spontaneous.
Even though Balayya and Naga Babu belong to political parties that run the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, their relations continue to be unhealthy.
