Sandeep Reddy Vanga has never had peace with the media ever since the release of Kabir Singh. While the Telugu original (Arjun Reddy) received praises, the Hindi remake was attacked by the critics fraternity based in Mumbai and Delhi. Animal, too, was panned by them.
In his latest interview, Vanga said that Animal could have been affected badly had it not been for 'word of mouth'. He said that "mouth publicity" is what said Animal from getting drowned out by the noise made by the critics of Animal.
"Had my film collected something like Rs 200 Cr, it would have been declared a flop. Since it went beyond, nobody is calling it a flop," Vanga said. Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, collected nearly Rs 1000 Cr.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's next film is Spirit. Starring Prabhas as a cop, it will go on the floors in April or May.
