Malayalam Super Star Mammootti starrer ‘The Train’ is a super hit Malayalam thriller film. The film featured Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jaya Surya, Sheena Chohan and Sabitha Jayaraj is written and directed by Jayaraj. Now it is being brought to the Telugu audience with the same title by R Prabhakar Rao under Sri Trivedi Combines banner. A.Koteswara Rao is the co-producer. Recently, the film has completed dubbing works and presently it is in censor process.
On this occasion, producer R Prabhakar Rao said, “The film is based on 2006 Mumbai train bombings and terrorism backdrop. The story involves bomb blasts in seven different places at the same time. The words which were told before the destruction by a police officer were ignored by the authorities. The film is a take on the lives of Malayalee families affected by the bomb blasts. Super Star Mammootty has acted well as a super cop. Kota Srinivasa Rao did tremendous job as a commissioner. ‘The Train’ is a super hit film in Malayalam. Likewise, I hope that the film will become a big hit in Telugu also. The entire film was shot in Bombay. It has 7 wonderful songs. The film has completed all formalities and presently censor process is going on. We are planning to release the film soon.”
