Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who played vital role in the formation of a new state, will go down in history. KCR has played a key role in achieving the 60 years dream of Telangana people with his 14 years movement. A biopic on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is an inspiration for many, is being directed by Bandook Lakshman. The film has been titled as ‘Gulaal’. ‘The Symbol Of Victory’ is the tagline. Lakshman Konatam is producing the film under Samanvi Creations banner. The concept and the motion poster launch event of the film took place on Wednesday i.e. on September 6 in Hyderabad. Renowned writer and director Vijayendra Prasad graced the event as chief guest and launched the concept and motion poster of the film.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijayendra Prasad said, “Sometime ago, well-known Telugu poet and freedom fighter Darasathi etched the famous lines, ‘Na Telangana Koti Ratnala Veena’, with charcoal pieces on the walls of the cell in Nizambad Jail. I wish I would get the opportunity to express my love on Telangana. I wish all the best to the director and producers of Gulaal’.”
Director Bandook Lakshman said, “The film 'Gulaal' depicts the life story of KCR in five parts. We will soon narrate the main concept of the film to KCR garu and take the permission to go ahead.”
“We met many poets and intellectuals for the film and planning to carve out the film will high technical values,” said the film’s producer Lakshman Konatam.
“I wish Lakshman, who earned good recognition with ‘Bandook’, will enhance his fame with ‘Gulaal’,” said producer Malkapuram Sivakumar.
Mittapalli Surender, writer Kandikonda, Bollywood director E Niwas (Shool fame), Ramesh Samala, Sagar Chandra, Yogi, producer Valluripalli Ramesh, Yugandhar Rao (Bandook producer), Zee Studio Premraj Joshi, Swami Goud and Ram and some others have attended the function.
