Chilling pattern in HIT franchise: HIT 3 mirrors Pahalgam attack

The buzz in the town is that HIT 3 features an episode that bears an uncanny resemblance to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Incidentally, HIT 1 and HIT 2, too, depicted crimes that took place in real life after the movies were shot and before they headed to theatres.

Speaking in an interview a couple of years back, director Sailesh Kolanu shared that the Disha-type rape-and-murder incident in HIT 1 shook him because of the uncanny resemblance to a crime in his debut movie. "I was disturbed on learning about the incident. I called up (Producer) Nani and Vishwak Sen to express my shock immediately," Kolanu said.

Days before the release of HIT 2, a Delhi man chopped his live-in partner into 35 pieces and scattered the body parts across the city. A similar incident was depicted in HIT 2, which hit the cinemas just ten days later.

And now, the Pahalgam incident has happened just two weeks before the release of HIT 3.

Sailesh Kolanu, for years, studied various real-life crimes across the world. That research has helped him write crime thrillers.
