The pre-release event of Naga Shaurya and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Kanam’ was held in a grand manner on March 5 in Hyderabad. AL Vijay has directed this Telugu-Tamil bilingual film under Lyca Productions banner. NVR Cinema is releasing the film in Telugu. The film is said to be a horror drama.
NV Prasad said, “I am very happy that we are bringing ‘Kanam’ to Telugu audience on our banner NVR Cinema. I wish Naga Shaurya and Sai Palavi will hit a hat-trick success through this film. Sam CS, who provided wonderful music for ‘Vikram Vedha’, has given excellent music for this film. Nirav Shah garu has picturised each and every visual grandly. Baby Veronika Arora has played a fantastic role. Director has come up with a good film with good intention. I hope his intention will come true. It’s not a simple thing to complete the film in such a grand way within 37 days. Despite having some action part, the team has completed the film with perfect planning. All artists and technicians all together churned out a wonderful film. I am thankful to Lyca Productions’ heads Subhash Karan, karunakaran and Raja Mahalingam for having given me the opportunity to release the film in Telugu.”
Heroine Sai Pallavi said, “The film showcases the bond between a mother and her daughter. I have spent lot of time with Veronika Arora, who played my daughter. We both went into the skin our characters. All the emotions which you see in the film looks very natural. Vijay garu has moulded the film wonderfully. Audience will surely get a good feel after watching the film. Naga Shaurya has given wonderful performance. I am confident that audience will make ‘Kanam’ success like how they received ‘Fidaa’ and ‘MCA’.”
