The press meet for the Godavari, Sekhar Kammula's latest film was held on 28th December at FNCC. Sekhar Kammula, GVG Raju, Sumanth and Kamalini Mukherji spoke to the press on the occasion.

Producer G.V.G. Raju "sekhar narrated the story to me almost a year ago. It is a very contemporary story and shows how leadership quality comes out of a person as per the situation. I fell in love with it. It's a good film and I am sure it will be successful. We are aiming for a February 2006 release" he said.

"People will have a lot of expectations from this movie following the success of Anand. Godavari film is a modern romantic comedy set against the backdrop of Godavari. Sumanth's role is that of a simple man serving the society without any motives behind it. This film is about the heroes among us. Kamalini Mukherji is shown in a different angle in this movie" director Sekhar Kammula said.

"I am very fortunate to get this film", hero sumanth said "it is a very realistic and idealistic character. It is a wonderful film."

"Our characters are parallels to Ram and Sita. Sita is known for honesty, goodness and integrity. Those are the essential qualities of my character in this movie. I am very happy to be working with Sekhar Kammula again" Kamalini Mukherji said.
