The audio of Avakai Biriyani, a Sekhar Kammula film was launched on 10 October in a function held at Taj Deccan, Hyderabad. It stars with Kamal Kamaraju and Bindu Madhavi debutants in the lead roles. The film is directed by Anish Kuruvilla and made on Amigos banner. Music is scored by Manikanth Kadri.

Ramesh Prasad (IMAX) was the chief guest of the function. Kamal Kamaraju, Bindu Madhavi, Director Anish Kuruvilla, Producers Sekhar Kammula and his brother Chandra Sekhar Kammula, Cinematographer Shyam, Music proprietor Umesh Gupta Aditya and others graced the function. The audio cassette was unveiled by the chief guest Ramesh Prasad and the first copy was presented to Sekhar Kammula who in turn released the CD and presented the first copy to Ramesh Prasad.

Anish Kuruvilla the director of the film thanked Sekhar Kammula for giving him an opportunity to direct and said that working with him is a great learning experience. He recollected the days of shooting in outdoor set ups and the difficulties encountered. He appreciated the music scored by Manikanth and said that it is a soul of the film and also expressed his happiness since both the hero and heroine are Telugu people.

Ramesh Prasad speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of Sekhar Kammula for producing a film like Avakai Biryani with a native factor and hoped that it will be a success.

Manikanth Kadri said that he gave original music and tunes to get a natural feel. The credit goes to Vanamali also for his excellent lyrics which added to his music.

Vanamali said that he provided good lyrics to the songs and hoped they help in the success of the film.

Sekhar Kammula the producer of the film said that Avakai Biriani emerged from a noble thought and with nobility in it. He praised for the excellent direction did by Anish Kuruvilla and said the film is made on the aspirations and thoughts of country people. He also appreciated the heroine Bindu Madhavi for her personality and beautiful looks. He hoped that Kamal Kamaraju will get an elevation with this picture.

Kamal Kamaraju expressed his happiness to work with a Telugu heroine and he felt at home in doing the film.

Bindu Madhavi the heroine said being as a new comer she felt nervous in the beginning but could complete the auditions happily. She said that the music made her a soothing comfort in cases of difficult scenes.
