Naga Chaitanya-Tamannah Film Muhurat

Today, 7th of August, 2010, Geetha Arts banner launched a new film with Naga Chaitanya and Tamannah as lead pair. To be directed by Sukumar, this untitled film will be produced by Bunny Vasu and will be presented by Allu Aravind. The film launch took place in Annapurna Studios with the formal pooja performed by D Ramanaidu. For the muhurat shot while Nagarjuna tapped the clap board, Nagababu switched on the camera and the first shot was directed by SS Rajamouli. The script was handed over to the director by Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

Later speaking to the media Allu Aravind said, “Sukumar narrated this story two and half years ago, i.e., even before the film ‘Arya’ was made. But at that time I felt that the budget for this script would be high. So he rewrote the script after ‘Arya’ and again narrated it to me now. I like the approach of Sukumar as he is keeps five alternative scenes ready for each scene. Even before the film ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ released, we decided on Naga Chaitanya for the lead role in this flick. Both Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya too gave their nod after listening to Sukumar’s story. Regarding the heroine, our banner wanted to book Tamanna for ‘Magadheera’ but some how that did not materialize. So we booked her for this film.”

Naga Chaitanya while speaking, “I’m very happy to do a film under Geetha Arts banner. This is going to be a film with very high technical standard as it is known to all that Sukumar is a talented and dedicated director. I actually wanted my 3rd film to be complete action oriented film but I changed my decision after listening to this storyline. This is going to be a complete entertainer with all required elements.”

Director Sukumar said, “It has become a habit to first narrate any story to Aravind sir. Except ‘Arya 2’, I’ve not written any story considering anyone as hero. So after watching Naga Chaitanya’s performance in ‘Ye Maya Chesave’, I thought he is one of those heroes who is flexible enough to do any kind of role with great ease. And regarding the heroine I felt that Tamannah fits into bill perfectly. This is a romantic action entertainer with Devisri Prasad’s excellent musical scores.”

Tamannah said, “I’m doing a straight film after almost one year of gap. I’m feeling good to work under Geetha Arts banner. This movie is going to be made with high technical standards and I’ve got good scope to showcase my skills.”

“When we narrated the story to Aravind garu and Bunny as well, both of them opined that Chaitanya is the apt hero for this film. We are very happy to do a film under Geetha Arts banner”, said Bunnyvasu.
