Nagavalli Success Meet

Venkatesh’s latest release ‘Nagavalli’ is directed by P Vasu and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under Sri Sai Ganesh Productions Pvt Ltd. The unit organized a success meet yesterday at Hotel Dasapalla, Hyderabad, in which Bellamkonda Suresh, Venkatesh, P Vasu, Richa Gangopadhyay, Sraddha Das, Kamalini Mukherjee, Dr Brahmanandam, Guru Kiran, Parachuri Gopalakrishna and others participated.

Bellamkonda Suresh said, “On this occasion I thank the audience and my entire unit. ‘Nagavalli’ is a prestigious film under our banner. While the share in Nizam area on the 1st day is Rs 1.40 crores, the 2nd day’s share is Rs 1.20 crores. The film was screened on 4 screens in Cinemax. Rajnikanth also called and appreciated the film after watching it in Chennai. I consider his appreciation as an award. He opined that the production values are excellent and that the movie will attract more of women audience.”

Parachuri Gopalakrishna said, “When I watched the film with the students, their reactions gave me a feel that the film is a big success. We named this success meet as thanks giving because the audience made the film a grand success. While doing this film we took it as a challenge because the hero of the sequel has changed. Venkatesh Babu did a role with negative touch in his debut film only. In this film, he did a complete negative role. He proved his worth by delivering dialogues that belong to mythological and folklore. Everyone is appreciating the Raju’s character and the doctor’s role as well. He took personal interest in the King’s getup. Director Vasu has to be appreciated for providing such a wonderful script.”

Dr Brahmanandam said, “It is Venkatesh babu who made this film a grand success. He took lot of persocal care while doing the King’s role. Although he did the sequel to Rajnikanth’s movie, he succeeded in winning the audience appreciation. The word ‘Aura Aura’ has become very popular among the audience. Parachuri brothers are well known for writing such dialogues. The producer also took lot of interest in production values without compromising in anywhere. Music was good. I did the assistant to the doctor but there is very little scope for comedy. I thank everyone for making the film a big success.”

P Vasu said, “When the Kannada version became a hit, Bellamkonda Suresh called me and asked to do this film in Telugu. I initially thought of doing the film with Rajnikanth garu, but when I told him about the proposal in Telugu with Venkatesh as hero, he immediately asked me to proceed with the project by saying that Venkatesh is the aptly suitable hero for this film. Venkatesh did a lot of homework for the King’s role. He also carefully modulated his voice while dubbing for that role. Brahmanandam is one such actor who can make the audience laugh without uttering a single word. He is the actor who raised the pride of Telugu people. All the technicians worked very hard. Parachuri brothers deserve a special mention. For the first time in my life I’ve seen the audience clapping for the dialogues. The credit should be given to them.”

Venkatesh while speaking, “I thank wholeheartedly the audience for making the film a grand success. Doing a sequel is not an easy task. I appreciate the director for his efforts in doing so and he deserves the credit also. Bellamkonda Suresh also did not compromise anywhere in the quality. While watching this film, it gave a similar kind of feel that I got during release time of ‘Chanti’. Many were not sure if I would do justice to this role. But Rajnikanth told me to do the character in my own style. After watching this film he appreciated my job by saying, “Hey Venky, your performance is excellent.” I’m very happy to receive one such compliment from a superstar. I’m sure that ‘Nagavalli’ will become as big hit as ‘Chandramukhi’. I thank my entire unit on this occasion.”

Music director Guru Kiran said, “Doing a sequel is a risky factor. Director Vasu paid special attention while doing the re-recording work. I’m happy to note that the audience has well received the music as well as the film.”

Heroines Richa, Sraddha and Kamalini also expressed their happiness and thanked the director and producer for giving them the best roles to play.
