Basthi First Look Launch

Senior actress Jayasudha’s younger son Shreayan Kapoor is making his cinematic debut in upcoming film ‘Basthi’, which is being directed and produced by entrepreneur-turned-filmmaker Vasu Manthena under Vajman Productions banner. Pragathi has paired up with Shreayan in this movie. Praveen Immadi is composing the music. Meanwhile, the teaser lunch of the film was held on Thursday i.e. on June 18, at Daspalla Hotel in Hyderabad. Jayasudha launched the teaser.

Speaking on the occasion, Jayasudha said, “’Basthi’ is a cute love story. My younger son Shreayan is being introduced as hero through this film. The film is being made with a simple point. Shreayan and Pragathi’s pair is very cute. I wish that the film will become big hit.”

Director and the producer of the film, Vasu Manthena said, “Making a movie is my long-time dream and it happened now. ‘Basthi’ is a cute love story. Hero and heroine falls in love. But, hero gets into trouble. How he overcome from the problem and how his love wins is the story. We have wrapped up the entire shooting part within 36 days and within 42 hours we have completed dubbing works also. We are planning to release the audio on June 21 and our Chief Minister KCR may grace the event as chief guest.”

Hero Shreayan shared, “I have won the medal in sports in national level. At first, I wished to develop my career in the field of sports and I don’t have zeal on cinemas. Once, Lagadapati Sridhar garu has narrated me a script. I said him that I don’t have interest on cinema field. Three years ago, I got the desire to act in films and then I took training in Mumbai. My mother and I met Lagadapati garu once again. He suggested us to go through some scripts of his friends. My mother and I liked one script. Director has crafted the film wonderfully. I dubbed my lines in the film. I’m thanfulto everyone who supported me.”

“She spent the last few months reading several scripts. There were a few which she liked but her son didn’t and vice versa. Both of them liked this particular script and finally gave their go ahead,” he said.
