Felicitation of Indian Rio Paralympics Medal Winners by Sumadhura Group

On the occasion of Sumadhura Acropolis Launch, three Indian Rio Paralympics medal winners — Devendra Jhajharia, Mariyappan Thangavelu and Varun Singh Bhati — were felicitated here by Mr. Madhusudhan. G (Chairman, Sumadhura Group), Mr. Mahender Reddy (Minister of Transport, Government of Telangana), Mr. Venugopal Chary (Telangana State Representative to The centre in Delhi) and Mr. Maganti Gopinath (MLA of Jubliee Hills).

Jhajharia had won the gold medal in men's javelin throw F46 and is the only Indian to have clinched two gold medals in Paralympics. Thangavelu also clinched a gold medal in men's high jump T42 while Bhati won a bronze in the same event. Each of the medal winners received a cheque of Rs 5 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Madhusudhan.
