Vetaran director Dasari Narayana Rao garu was honoured with the prestigious Allu Ramalingaiah Memorial Award for the year 2017. After the demise of legendry comedian Allu Ramalingaiah, the award was instituted by his son and prominent producer Allu Aravind. Tollywood’s pride filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao garu was presented the award for all his contributions made to the film industry with feel good films since decades. The award ceremony took place at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad on March 15 organised by Yuva Kalavahini. Megastar Chiranjeevi graced the event as chief guest and handed over the award to Dr Dasari Narayana Rao garu. Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Kaminei Srinivas and Jagadeeswara Reddy were also present at the event.”
Dasari Narayana Rao garu stood as backbone to the Telugu film industry. He always be in forefront to support the needy people in the film industry. Dasari, who has been admitted to the KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad following some respiratory problem in lungs and is taking rest for the past few days, has recovered completely now.
