Hyderabad, 25th October 2017: Aware Gleneagles Global Hospitals has conducted a 5km walk covering about 270 residents across L.B.Nagar today at 7am marking ‘World Breast Cancer Day’.
Dr S Jayanthi, Sr Oncologist flagged off the Brest Cancer awareness walkathon. The walk was graced with the participation of Aware Gleneagles Global Hospital staff along with people representing different age groups from all walks of life from children to elders, students, executives, socialites and medical professionals.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Sharath Chandran, Chief Operating Officer, Aware Gleneagles Global Hospitalssaid, “For more than 30 years, October has been designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Today women’s health is still an emerging concern; the focus of the event was to increase awareness among people about the importance of health issues in women, especially breast cancer, which is growing alarming numbers in India. AtGleneagles Global Hospital, the group is committed to work on the relevant health conditions of each and every individual. Our team of Andrologists, Urologists & Cardiologists will be taking care of all the patients who come in with utmost care.” He added.

Speaking on the occasion, Y.B.Giri Yadav, Head-Business Development at Aware Gleneagles Global Hospitals, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all people who turned up the occasion with pink ribbons and pink ribbons. He said “The campaign was absolutely amazing and lauded the efforts of all the members in reaching out to the local people for generating awareness on the Breast Cancer in Women.”
The campaign was an Aware Gleneagles Global Hospital initiative with an aim to explain and increase the awareness of Women’s health problems and Breast Cancer amongst Women. All the participants released pink balloons in the air to show their support to breast cancer patients.
