Elementree is an experiential store that includes Handloom weaves by She Is, Jewellery by Priyaman, Plant Art a garden shop and take a bite for quick munching!
Ms Sai Priya Tucker is a young talent from the pool of aspiring designers from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad. The concept was rooted from the hard reality of lack of differentiation between handlooms and powerlooms, the attrition of weavers by withdrawing their skill and intel of design and the striking difference between the price of the product and the worth received by the respective weaver for the labour invested in the product.
‘She is’ is endowed with best designs in the bridal and party ware segments, the weaves of Kanjeevaram and Banaras are exclusively handcrafted to meet the trends in the Bridal segment, from the patterns to the finishing, these sarees are a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary craftsmanship.
With a firm vision to promote only handlooms by encouraging the culture and building an ecosystem that can sustain this art and the livelihood, She is, is the most weaver friendly and customer friendly store. Capacitated by the own looms and in addition to supporting weavers in 20 locations across India, She is, is the new dawn of wakening for handloom culture. Currently, the looms are set up in Narayanpet, Mahaboob Nagar with designers. Sai Priya is keen on strengthening the design base by closely working with designers and weavers and specialise to cater emerging demands in the world of Handloom aSarees.
‘Handloom’ is not a mere word, it is an ecosystem, a livelihood, an art and a vision.The intricate tale of the relationship between the raw material and the creator is something that makes handloom worth a world. The six yards of fabric woven from fiber is translation of the soul of the weaver and beat of his creative heart, that just doesn’t beautify the women who drapes it but glorifies the riches of our culture and tradition.
The spectrum of design and collection is diverse, has a good collection of Kanjeevaram, Banaraj, Kantha, Jamdhani from Uppda, Srikakulam and Shanthiniketan, Maheshwari, Lucknow Chikari and Parsigara etc.
