India's most recognized and celebrated playback singer SP Bala Subrahmanyam appealed to all music lovers to buy donors passes of “Sparsh Nite 2018”, a musical concert to be held at Shilpakala Vedika on 31st March at 7pm for the cause of cancer patients and contribute for the construction of India’s biggest 70 bedded Palliative Care facility, “Sparsh Hospice” and help for free treatment of soon to die cancer patients.

Addressing a press conference held at Hotel Daspalla to brief about the forthcoming charitable event to be organized by Sparsh Hospice, Balasubrahmanyam said “Death has to be as dignified as the birth”. All those who are born will die sooner or later die. But, they must depart peacefully. We need to mitigate the pain of terminally ill cancer patients

To generate funds, we are organizing “Sparsh Nite 2018--The Life & Times of SP Balasubrahmanyam”, a Concert for a Cause on March 31st Shilpakala Vedika in the city Balasubrahmanyam said. The legend singer assured that he would visit Sparsh Hospice and sing for the terminally ill patients. God has given me this great voice. If this is used to mitigate pain of cancer patients I will be more than willing. I have earned enough money to take care of my family. Whatever I do now on will be only for the good of the society, he told.

SP Bala Subrahmanyam, his sister SP Sailaja, his son Charan, Shweta Pandit, Sri Krishna, Sameera, Revanth, Srinidhi, Ramya Behera Balavika, Rina Kamal and others will be singing free of cost to raise funds for the construction of 70 bedded, India’s biggest Palliative Care Center.

The galaxy of film stars who will grace the event include: K. Vishwanath, Bahubali fame Rana, All Arjun, Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, Brahmanandam, RP Patnaik, Ali, Mohan Babu, Nagababu, Lakshmi Manchu and others.

Through this concert which will be an annual affair, we hope to raise Rs 50 lakh informed Ram Moahn Rao, CEO of Sparsh Hospice.

The 70 bedded Sparsh Hospice Facility for treatment of soon to die cancer patients is coming up in one acre land at Khazaguda, in Hyderabad at the cost of Rs 10crore. The 55000 sq feet facility construction will begin soon and will be completed in one year’s time. The facility/choultry is coming at the one acre land given by the Government of Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion Varaprasad Reddy, Governing Member of Sparsh Hospice said “the medicine only gives 20 per cent relief, but solacing words from doctor cures illness by 80 per cent. So the last journey of anyone must be painless and peaceful. Sparsh Hospice has been providing free service to 1800 patients in the last 12 years, he informed.

The show is going to be one of the firsts in its presentation of the life and musical moments of India’s most celebrated playback singer on a single canvas of time.

The aim of this free palliative care is to help patients in the final stages of cancer to embrace death without regrets. A team of volunteers and doctors help ease the excruciating pain, anxiety, and depression that afflict patients, if not cure them completely.

The Concert to be anchored by Jhansi will be held at Shilapakala Vedika on March 31st, 2018 from 7 pm onwards. The donor passes are available on Bookmyshow.com at Rs 750 to Rs 10,000/-. All donations to Sparsh Hospice are exempted under section 80G of Income Tax.
