Lakhotia Institute of Design (LID) is organizing .4 mega fashion show `Luxluminous 2011' at Hotel Marriott, Hyderabad, on June 7, 2011.
About 18 fashion sequences would be presented by the graduating students of the institute at the fashion show mentored by Ms .Krishna Mehta, (fashion designer) and Mr.Neelam Ashley (fashion designer) that would be judged by Mr. Asif Merchant, Mr. Aslam Khan and Krishna Mehta (fashion designer).
Dreams in Technicolor are now not just relegated to the heart's innermost desires.. Beauty is not just skin deep. Wishes for the unattainable are getting translated to reality. Possession is the uber ultimate word and Luxury always the lust factor. An Indo evolution is on its way with fabulous super impositions imploding from the glitz works. Glamour is on the priority lists and the world is working up its wonders. The atrics take the temperatures to another level as dramatic overtures heighten the chic. Couture returns as the globe agrees to a stylized individuality. Ranging from the fairy tales of mermaids to the Hyderabadi Moguls grandiose lives to romantic pathways strewn with roses and stories of mystic, drama, and allure bring to you the enigmatic, passionate and the utterly evanescent LuxLuminous 2011 from the indigenous creations of Lakhotia institute of design
Wired with the unseen reams of this exuberant extravaganza is the maverick workmanship of the spirited young minds conceptualizing fantastical conceptions with intricate embroideries, time tested and trusted tie and dye, traditional craftsmanship of batik has been kept alive with its incorporation to churn contemporary;' creations as exquisite layering and pearl work marries embellished surfaces" of' zardozi and crystallized swarovski. Fabricated roses vie with acid dying techniques to display an extravaganza of garment detailing and awe inspiring design dynamics

1. Peacock in the Paradise by Mehajabeen
Mehajabeen presents a rich and opulent collection peacock in paradise' with layered and flowing silhouettes in a heady mix of
peacocks blues and greens beautifully treated with zardozi & hand embroidery in gold. A tribute to the royal heritage of India. The silhouette are gardener luxuriously beautiful made in silk, tulle, treated with hues of blue & green forming in artistically theatrical ramp appearing ensembles.
2. Black Magic by Pinkey Agarwal
Pinkey Agarwal following her insights launches her very first collection the "BLACK MAGIC" with a contrast of fitted and flowy silhouettes, just like the mysteries of life, which sometimes stand still and then just flow like dreams. The Bold and Beautifully Black creating magic in Mirrors and Gold mesh.
3. Wings of Colours by Bushra
Butterflies are butterflies colorfully dancing and fluttering their wings through colorful petals & flowers exotic in their beauty. They are just inspiration for artistic, musicians and for the people whollove beauty at most. Butterflies is my inspiration delicate in their nature to me
they represent a female aura adorn with perfect colorful garment in their most beautiful forms. The fabrics treated with tie & dye technique & batik in joyous colours on chiffons & georgettes. This is my collection the wings of colours presenting Bushra.
4. Copacabana by Padma & Munira
Fresh and breezy collection in tie & dye in fresh mint & white hues by Padma Prasad & Munira Haji. This collection is inspired by the oyster found in the depth of ocean the mint green, sea weeds. Thus the translucent silhouettes flowy, with shimmer of pearls adding luminescent with embellishment in pearl & crystals. Collection emcompeisis of kaftans, asymmetrical dresses layered in chiffons & georgettes getting ready for the resort evening.
5. Noor- E- Mumtaz by Hafsa Baig
Mumtaz" - The Indian most gorgeous lady who carry herself in a great sense of Indian fashion in: Flowy dresses with lots of embroidery in Royal colors.
The reason I have chosen the 'Noor-e-Mumtaz' collection is because It was an aim that my first fashion show will be similar to history which I get inspired of their work and garments and the royal, luxurious life style. Presenting Hafsa Baig
6. The Beauty Pageants by E.Rahulya & Cbetna Gupta
The collection highlights the glimpse and glitters of a "BEAUTY PAGEANTS" inspired by beauty of women. The 'presented silhouettes are long evening flowing gowns in shades and tones of lavender and purple with stunning shearing, drapes, frills in chiffon and georgette with the studded Swarovski stones on the sheath long evening gown to give an elegant and glamorous look. 7. Casino Royal by Hema Reddy
Hema reddy presents the CHIC CASINO ROYAL COLLECTION IN Rich and raw silk's dyed and textured with beads and Rhine stones containing the deep black and half white in sensious silhouettes for a casino party.
8. Cleopatra - The Icon of Egypt by Sujith Kumar
Cleopatra known for passion for her beauty a women of absolute power mixed with trends. Cleopatra is my inspiration. The garments are gracefully, theatrically & opulent in gold shimmer & royal blues. 9. Floral Floric by Priyanka Ojha
Priyanka Ojha presenting the fun & frolic Collection inspired by flowers. It is an attractive collection in playful colours of pink's, purples & yellows of raw silk with different fun silhouettes & aplic with flowers. of rich cottons in joyful colours. A collection for teenage with a playful mood.
10. Royal Romance by Hema Jain & Neha Ruchlani
Royal Romance Our collection is inspired by romantic time. The romantic period derived its name from the romantic arts. It is very dramatic, beautiful, rich royal and embellished in pink and gold. The prevalent trend of romanticisim from the 1820, through the mid - 1840's. In the 1830's fashionable women's clothing style had distinctive large gigot sleeves, lingering aesthetic influences of the empire silhouette.
The fabrics are net, shimmer georgette, georgette, organza, raw silk. Pink fabric with gold embellishment. The collection is stylized with head gear made with flowers in pink and gold.
11. Raasleela by Sruthi, Vaishali & Sravanthi
A play of MANGALGIRI CICCO,SHIMMER GEROGETTE and BLOCK PRINTING which is inspired by the very romantic couple of Indian mythology RADHA KRISHNA in VRINDHAVAN as their RAASLEELA. A very jovial collection of lehengas and draped dhotis & sarees enhanced by flower and coronal jewellery.here comes Vaishali, Shruti and Shravanti.
12. Rural to Urban by Alekhya (Palleturu to Patnam)
It's an explorative road trip replete with the sights and sounds. The village damsel has taken to the town. Her big city sojourn is packed with sarees married to jola bags and dresses topped with multi colored topies. The journey is colorized with multiples hues of vent green, custard yellow, candy pink and mandarin orange. Folksy funk to

13. Urnroa Jaan by Alok & Ashritha
The Jewelled Fantasy. The bells on her feet beckon a dance to be done. The jungles of her bangles inveigle one with an imagination of a swanlike sway. Swooning over her magnificent moves is a collection that pays tribute to the Umrao Jaan of her Times - ornate brocades crafted into blouses and ghagras with chudidars worked upon with ostentatious beadwork defining a dream that is surreal.
14. Queen of Water by Sankeerthana
Only under water life is known to the mermaid and the mermaid princess surfaces to see as couple romance and feels to embrace the love to her life and with here enchanting powers turns a man into merman and romance kindles between them and keep him so ever after. (Once the princess is now queen of water). Living in the depth of where colours and textures dance with the light forming a luminous silhouette emerging from the deep ocean with all its colours, embellished with treasures of the oceans, and very mesmeric fins the fabric used are innovatively treated with acid colours & unique bleaching dyes. 16. Wedding Bliss by Moin Banu
it is a serimonial celebration of souls consummated with love reflecting through wispy forms of skirts in georgette, losettes, emblazon on dresses, Cossets & saree's. The collection "Wedding Bliss" with shimmer dancing in fest, encapsulating the moments of glorisious romance. Welcome to the blissful wedding presented by Moin Banu.
17. The sun Masquerade by Khaleeda
The sun the strongest of all, it arises all our hopes when the sun goes
into the world of dreams i.e. Sunset and we wait for the life and fight, our aspirations and ambitions.
So here presenting my collection inspired by the magnanimous fireball. "THE SUN, THE LIFE A.ND THE LIGHT".

18. Red valentine by Renuka Mutha & Ismath Unnisa
Our collection "THE RED VALENTINE" draws its inspiration from love in corporate love, celebration, opulence, drama & grandeur. The silhouettes comprises of cocktail dresses beautifully sculpt themselves over sensuous bodies in rich valentine red hues embellished with silk and tulle rosettes accessorized with dramatic head gears.
