Ramanaidu Felicitated by Telugu Film Industry

On the occasion of receiving the Dada Saheb Phalke award, the 24 frames from Telugu film industry organized a function called ‘Sathayushmaan Bhava’ to felicitate Dr D Ramanaidu at Novotel Hotel today.

Who’s who of the film industry and politics attended the grandeur event. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was the chief guest of the function. Dr D Ramanaidu was felicitated by former chief minister K Roshaiah, heroes, heroines, comedians and others. State Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy honored him with the shawl.

Later addressing the gathering Kiran Kumar Reddy said, “This prestigious award to Dr D Ramanaidu is an honor to our entire state. Ramanaidu garu did a lot of service to the film industry. Thus this award! He is the sixth man to get this award. I know him for the past 25 years and I used to often meet him when I go for walk. I’m associated with politics, sports and films. I wish him to take more films in future.”

Ex-chief minister K Roshaiah said, “Ramanaidu is known as a lucky mascot. He won many awards in his film career. He also produced message oriented films. His entire family has become a films related family. I wish him to live for long till his great grand sons also reach the top position.”

Balakrishna said, “I did two films under his banner. Ramanaidu garu produced many films with my father. He produced films in many languages. He is a self-disciplined man. I thank the government for recognizing his services to the film industry and honoring him with this prestigious award. It was his better half Smt Rajeswaramma who brought luck to him. His children and grand children also dedicated themselves to the film industry. I wish him to serve more to the film industry.”

Dr Dasari Narayana Rao said, “There is no one in Andhra Pradesh, who are not aware of Ramanaidu garu. Today is a festival day. This festival marks as respect to the entire Telugu film industry. We are felicitating our Telugu son on this auspicious day. We are getting this prestigious award after 20 years. They have kept our Telugu aside. Even though we are in south India, we have proved our worth in Indian cinema in all aspects. There is no one who tooks 100s of films on a single banner. At the same time there isn’t any producer who produced films in 17 languages. Ramanaidu garu grew as a producer and introduced many new artists and technicians. Each time he produces a film he deals as if he is new to the films. Ramanaidu garu is a man who the entire world should feel proud off. This is kalamathalli’s sons’ festival.”

Krishna said, “I and Ramanaidu garu together acted in a film titled ‘Stree Janma’. Later I acted in many films under his production house. He should have received this award long ago. Still I’m very happy that he received this award.”

“Dr Ramanaidu garu produced more than 100 films and created a record. Therefore he deserves this award. I got a break through his production film ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ 25 years ago. I feel proud to call myself that I’m the product of Suresh Productions”, said Brahmanandam.

Ramanaidu said, “The Lord has given me such a huge family. It is not a big deal to producer 100 films. But all the way from Karamchedu, my ambition was to make a film. I did films with almost all heroes. I consider every film as my first film and that is the secret of my success. And I believe in not producing films when the producer has no respect. For my achieving this goal, the support of my heroes, heroines and technicians are the main reason. I can do anything in the film industry, whereas in politics I cannot do, so I came out of that. I think of about my parents every month while paying salaries to my workers. I came all the way from Karamchedu to become a hero but today I’m very happy with what I am.”

The colourful event started off with some interesting cultural programmes.
