Nandi Awards 2011 were declared today and ‘Dookudu’ swept 7 awards. While Mahesh Babu bagged the best actor award for ‘Dookudu’, Nayantara received for her performance in ‘Sri Ramarajyam’, Prakash Raj receives for his supporting role in ‘Dookudu’ and Lakshmi Manchu receives for her negative role in ‘Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu’.
This is Mahesh Babu’s 3rd Nandi award in Best Actor category, the other two being ‘Nijam’ and ‘Athadu’. Prakash Raj is going to receive his 6th Nandi Award (3rd as Best Supporting Actor). He won Nandi in Best Supporting Actor category for his performances in films like ‘Khadgam’ and ‘Bommarillu’. On the other hand, Nayantara and Lakshmi Manchu have bagged their 1st Nandi Award in the categories Best Actress (Nayantara) and Best Villain (Lakshmi Manchu).
