Nikhil and Swathi starrer ‘Karthikeya’ is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Tamil under Magnus Cine Frame banner. Venkat Srinivas Boggaram is producing this film introducing Chandu Mondeti as director. Shooting is currently progressing in AVM Studios in Chennai and its surrounding areas. Tamil hero Jayam Ravi, producer editor Mohan, Madesh and Subhash Chandra Bose visited the shooting location. According to producer Venkat Srinivas, the next schedule will take place in Pondicherry and Kumbakonam.
‘Karthikeya’ is a comedy film mixed with thrill elements.
Director Chandu said, “Nikhil and Swathi will be seen as medical students in this film. Nikhil plays a guy who believes that there is no question that has no answer. If one finds no answer for a question, it means that he has not tried for it. So in line with this what kind of incidents he faces is the film ‘Karthikeya’ about.”
The film is planned for release in early 2014. This is also said to be the highest budget movie in Nikhil’s career.
Tanikella Bharani, Nasser, Rao Ramesh, Praveen, Tulasi, Kishore, Swamy Ra Ra Satya, Jogi Naidu, Siva Narayana, Meena Kumai, Chandra Sekhar Giri, Krishnamraju, Venu Gopal Rao, I K Trinath, Appa Rao, Aipeta, etc., are playing the supporting roles in the film.
