Dhruva Sarja (senior actor Arjun's nephew) stars in 'Pogaru', the action-thriller dubbed from Kannada. 'Bheeshma' and 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actress Rashmika Mandanna is the film's female lead.
The news is that the film's Telugu version's release rights have been acquired by D Prathap Raju for Rs 3.30 Cr. The film has acquired a lot of craze, thanks to the song 'Karaabu Mind', which has been a huge hit with the listeners. Raju, the prominent distributor, financial and producer, acquired the film's release rights amid a tight competition. Sai Surya Entertainments will be releasing the movie in Telugu.
Speaking about the movie, Raju said, "We are happy to have acquired the rights. The Kannada version of the ultra-popular 'Karaabu' song has clocked more than 170 million views. The Telugu version has got more than 43 million views, which is a big record. There has been a lot of buzz around the film. Plans are afoot to release 'Pogaru' simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada. Dhruva Sarja is a hat-trick hero and Rashmika's track record needs no introduction. The actress has been going great guns with consecutive hits at the box-office. The natural beauty will be a treat to watch in 'Pogaru'. The film is going to be a treat for the audience. Director Nandan Kishore has given a unique touch. The songs by music composers Chandan Shetty and Arjun Janya will be a highlight. The action scenes are by WWE champs (Kai Greene, Morgan Aste, Joe Lindner and John Lucas). There are fights between the four body-builders and the hero and they will stand out."
