'Jayaho Ramanuja' tells the story of the 12th Century Hindu philosopher and social reformer Ramanuja. The historical-devotional flick's first look was released recently.
At an event held today, Telugu Film Chamber's President BC Reddy said that director Dr. Sai Venkat is an NRI like him. He opined that Chinna Jeeyar Swamy must be brought in to speak about the film.
Telugu Film Chamber's General Secretary Damodar Prasad said that actor-director Sai Venkat is dedicated to cinema. "The film's trailer is superb. I wish the unit all the best," he added.
Producers Council's General Secretary Prasanna Kumar said that the film seeks to promote awareness about Ramanuja's philosophy worldwide.
Director-producer Sai Venkat, on his part, said that he has made content that will be enough for two parts. Five hours of footage is ready. The VFX is going to be of the best sort, he added. The film has also been made keeping business interests in mind.
The plan is to release the movie in February next year. Suman played a king from Delhi in the movie. Jyo Sharma will be seen as Ramanuja's wife.
Suman said that he has known Sai Venkat for many years. "Sai Venkat' is looking apt in the get-up of the titular character. One must be blessed by the divine to be able to portray a saintly character," Suman added.
The film was shot in Ramoji Film City without compromises. The shoot was done non-stop for days on end.
