Vennela Kishore has been projected as the male lead of the upcoming detective comedy, 'Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes'. As per the actor, he is not even the film's protagonist.
The film has been stuck with underwhelming promotions because Kishore himself has kissed the promotions goodbye. He is not promoting his own film because he was allegedly not told he would be treated as the hero. The screenplay was allegedly altered at the edit table to make it look like Vennela Kishore is the titular character.
If true, the makers of 'Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes' might owe an explanation to Kishore. If the screenplay was changed in the final minute, its haphazard nature would be obvious to the audience.
The film is going to be released in theatres for Christmas. Even though Nithiin's 'Robinhood' has been postponed, it barely stands any chance to mint even half-decent openings. With Vennela Kishore speaking about how he was taken for a ride during the making of 'Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes', it is likely to be disregarded even by the media.
