Climax Craze in Tollywood - Massive Investments Become Norm

Grand, action-packed climaxes are not a new trend. However, these days, Telugu cinema producers are making sure that visually extravagant climaxes are advertised well in advance to the audience.

In Nithiin's 'Thammudu', we are told, a breathtaking climax sequence is being brought to life with a budget of Rs 8 Cr. That much was spent for a 10-day schedule. The industry's commitment to advertise grand climax sequences is also found in the case of Nandamuri Kalyanram's 21st film, which boasts a climax action sequence shot over a mammoth 30-day period, also at a cost of Rs 8 Cr.

Tollywood's penchant for grandeur extends beyond high-octane action. The upcoming film 'Odela 2', starring Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead, is set to mesmerize viewers with a climax sequence featuring a colossal temple set at Ramoji Film City, involving a staggering 800 junior artists.

In the coming years, we are well going to see similar claims about the climaxes of a lot of movies, especially those with period or fantasy backdrops. 'Vishwambhara', 'Devara', 'Pushpa 2', 'Swayambhu', 'Kannappa', among others.
