Ahead of the theatrical release of 'Pushpa 2' on December 5, YSRCP leader and former Minister from Andhra Pradesh, Ambati Rambabu, stated that trivial forces can't stop the film from becoming a success. "Everyone is enthusiastic about the movie. I myself am," he said, adding that 'Pushpa 2' will surely become a hit.
'Pushpa 2' has been politicized by partisan netizens and will now continue to be done so by a section of the Opposition. The perceived rift between Allu Arjun on the one hand and the Pawan Kalyan camp on the other hand is the reason for this.
The first installment of 'Pushpa' turned out to be a slight commercial disappointment in parts of Andhra Pradesh owing to low ticket rates. At that time, the YSRCP was in power. The film became a victim of the political and financial targeting of the larger Mega family movies by the Jagan Mohan Reddy regime. While the party is not in power currently, its 'sympathies' are with the film's sequel.
'Pushpa 2' is directed by Sukumar. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, its songs have been composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
