Jagapathi Babu was seen in a negative role in 'Guntur Kaaram'. The Sankranthi release turned out to be a box-office flop. He was also seen in Vijay Deverakonda's 'The Family Star' as the heroine's father. In 'Mr. Bachchan', he played the chief antagonist; the movie was a dud. Jaggu Bhai was also seen in the recent 'Simbaa', a message-oriented movie.
Up next, Jagapathi will be seen in a pivotal role in 'Ghaati', starring Anushka Shetty in the lead. The Krish Jagarlamudi-directed movie is a prominent Amazon Prime Video venture. Jagapathi has already shot for his portions involving the 'Baahubali' actress.
In an interview recently, the senior artist said that he didn't enjoy doing 'Guntur Kaaram' although he always loves to work with Mahesh Babu. Last year, Jagapathi Babu was seen in Prabhas' 'Salaar'. He will be seen in 'Salaar 2' as well. "It is going to be scary. There are going to be a lot of high-octane scenes between Prabhas and me in 'Salaar 2'. The film is going to be magical," he said in an interview.
