'Kali' has solid content; Audience will surely love it: Varun Tej

'Kali' will hit the cinemas on October 4. Its pre-release event was held in the presence of Varun Tej, Allari Naresh and others on Wednesday.

Presenter K Raghavendra Reddy described suicides as a social problem, adding that if suicidal thoughts are regulated, it is possible to save lives. He praised producer Leela Gautham Varma's passion for cinema. On her part, the producer sincerely thanked the celebs who have supported 'Kali' by unveiling promotional content.

Mahesh Vitta revealed his involvement in 'Kali', where he voiced the character of the cockroach. He expressed gratitude to director Siva Sashu for the opportunity to be part of this innovative project. Priyadarshi and Ayyappa Sharma also contributed their voices to the film.

Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy lauded the film for its powerful storyline. He spoke of the film's importance in addressing the issue of pressure and suicide among farmers and students. Reddy expressed hope that the film would inspire viewers to think differently and prevent such tragedies.

Directors 'Balagam' Venu and Mallik Ram both expressed their support for 'Kali'. Venu believed the film would resonate with young audiences due to its entertainment value and a significant message.

Director Siva Sashu touched upon the essence of ‘Kali' in his speech. "If we keep hurting, we will remain obscure. If we fight back and stand up, everyone is going to notice us," he added.

Priyadarshi said that the film addresses the rising suicide rates in our country post-COVID, making it a purposeful project. Actor Akash Jagannath talked about the film's Trailer's "intriguing content". He added, "The team has put in remarkable effort. If the film is good, the Telugu audience will undoubtedly support it.”

Prince said, "When ‘Kali’ was announced, my friends suggested I stick to romantic films. However, deep emotions inspired me to make this film. The suicide of my favorite actor, Uday Kiran, has affected me profoundly, and the loss of my close friend, who also committed suicide, left me heartbroken. I felt compelled to address this issue through storytelling. I assure you, ‘Kali’ will not disappoint; it features thrilling elements, great music, and engaging characters."

Allari Naresh said that he has known Prince for a long time, adding that he has quickly established himself as a talented actor. The 'Naandhi' actor said that ‘Kali’ presents a meaningful concept regarding suicides. "I understand the challenges for newcomers during their film’s release, so let’s support them in achieving success with their first film," the actor said added.

Guest and actor Varun Tej said, “I am delighted to attend the event. Along with me are Naresh and others. Prince is a close friend and a dedicated actor. He shared exciting details about this film with me." Wishing the producer-director duo all the best, the 'Ghani' actor also spoke of the willingness of the Telugu audience to always support good content.
